This angelic photograph has been hand painted by the artist Luis González Palma and adorned with gold leaf. Made in 2019, it draws its origins to an earlier project. The artist, as many others in art history, has used repetition and re-investigation. Borrowing from earlier work to create something entirely new. Originally from a 2008 portrait series of modern women, this portrait of a young woman, Coral, was re-explored by the artist in an open-ended series, Mobïus. The project seeks to unite disparate aesthetics to create new dialog.
