Megha, Charlottesville, Virginia by Matt Eich
26.6 x 20 in. print by Matt Eich
Edition of 7
This striking work first appeared in Matt Eich’s self-published zine Seasonal Blues. It was included in the artist’s solo-exhibition, Small Beginnings, and was also included in our 10 Year Anniversary Exhibition : Time in two directions. Work from Eich’s Seasonal Blues are subtle and poetic, nuanced, even painterly. This portrait is characteristic of the series and distinct from the tone of the Artist’s major oeuvre, The Invisible Yoke, yet equally full of candor. Like all Eich’s photographs this work remind us that life is temporal and sacred. The rituals we subscribe to are not law by nature, rather designs of our own making. Through such works we feel the web of intimacy surrounding us like a cloak that belongs to us as much as we are a thread of its fabric.
This artwork is available in limited edition of 7, varied by media; it is available as pigment print or silk print at Patron’s preference.
